GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really like Harper, I really enjoy the small class sizing and being able to know everyone in my class personally. I am able to participate in anything and everything if I wish because the school is so small. Although I do know that the only thing I would change is either the fact that what your last name is can help or hurt you, or that for a public school the dress code is ridiculously strict in my head. Even with this I would never want to go to another school.

This school is more focused on advancing students in the fields of agriculture than any other, maybe sports would be a close second. 1 in 10 chance a teacher or facility member is a parent of a student, and several teachers teach multiple subjects. Horribly understaffed and largely conservative.

Harper High School for me was a great place for me to learn more about myself. The small environment allowed for close and personal relationships with your teachers and administration. I loved how much the community was involved with every kid and not just their own.
