GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Need to be treated better and give students more freedoms. We need more diversity and more sport options. Need a variation of after school activities as we don't have many. More staff as we don't have enough but the ones we got are amazing.

At Harpursville, it is very easy to be friends with just about everyone. It is a small school and there are many accepting people. It is also nice to be able to know every teacher as well. This helps if any student has a trouble learning something in class. We are able to go to our teachers and they are filling willing to do whatever it takes for us to understand something.

The things I like about my school is that it's small and you know everyone there. You can have good relationships with your classmates and get to know them personally. Some things that I wish would change at my school is the lack of bus drivers. Some have quit making buses very crowded and cramped. Another thing that I would like to see change is for our school to find better ways to cover classrooms when the teachers are out. They leave the aids who are in classes to cover teachers classrooms if they are unable to find a substitute teacher.
