GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Being a student at Harrisonburg High school has been quite an experience. This school is truly like a small community. Everyone has someone and it's so easy to find people with the same ethnicity and same hobbies as you. There are students from all around the world, it's such a diverse school which is the best part of Harrisonburg High School.

I used to be a straight A student, but the teachers expect you to know everything, the tests can be vague, and the school in general is absolutely crowded. The cafete...

Students are subject to bullying, having excessive and unnecessary school work to complete and teachers who don't even teach but expect students to just know the subjects. Stud...
