GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I had a great experience at Blackford High School with learning experiences and activities. I had an overall good time in my art classes learning new art activities. I also hand a great time in my agricultural classes learning about how the world needs agricultural.

The school facilities are nice and updated thanks to the excelling sports programs the school has but there is no emphasis placed on education. I am a recent graduate who went half day my senior year to earn an associates degree while still in high school and the administration was reluctant to allow me to do so. I had to go through an appeal process for something that would benefit the school and their students. More emphasis needs to be placed on education and career preparation rather than athletics.

I think its a really good school. Some of the teachers would rather help you then see you fail. I see a lot more adults getting involved with the students a lot more, even if its by teaching or just talking with them and giving them advice.

Awful the teaching staff don't teach the kids as young adults they treat them like elementary kids. The punishment for being late and silly things are way over done . very bad school!

Very good small high school. Many opportunities to participate in challenging courses and extracurriculars. Supportive atmosphere. Solid foundation.
