As a person of color, Hartford Public High School is a safe space for me. I have teachers who care about me, they call home once or twice a month just for check-ins. I have a lot of support in my college preparations. The neighborhood doesn't have quite a good reputation, but so far it's been quite a good experience.

My daughter goes to Asian studies Academi and I love that school so does she. She has a different experience every day.
