The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really appreciate Thornton Township High School! The staff really try to get their students involved.

I think that is was pretty good even though some of the teachers and administrators where rude. As well as security not always being the kindest. But when you where a senior they really wanted you to ready for college and all the things that you would need to be successful.

The school is not a good school. Some things are good, like for example the Culinary Class and Track. Besides everything else, it's kind of a total nightmare.

I have had 2 children attend and graduate from Thornton. Both are currently at 4 year universities. The administrative staff is diligently working to improve Thornton.

Over all just a bad school. Needs a lot of fixing. Specially in the administration.
