Havelock High School is a place where I've seen a lot of growth happen between myself and others. The staff's largest concern is the well-being of the kids and our success. It's encouraging to be met by these people everyday. I hope for future students that more classes begin to be offered. Our school offers only five Advanced Placement courses. This makes it challenging for the higher level kids to raise GPAs and push ourselves with course rigor. I look forward to the day our school can give the kids even more room grow.

Some of the best parts of my high school experience would have to be the people, sports, and clubs. At Havelock, I have had some of the best teachers who truly care about their students and met some of my bestest friends. I am involved with the Cheer Team as Varsity Captain and play lacrosse as well. Being apart of a majority of the clubs has also sparked an interest in helping others and community service in me. I am proud to be apart of RAM NATION in my small hometown and have had no bad experiences at this school.

Havelock high school has given me the tools and resources over the past 4 years I have needed in order to succeed. I could not be more grateful for the staff who have push me to be a better me and seen that I am able to accomplish more than I have thought. I have faced a lot of adversity and a lot of personal stuff because life has not been the easiest on me lately. The staff have seen me go through it and still pushed me to be a better version of myself when they visibly seen me struggling academically, mentally, and physically. I am so thankful and blessed to have the teachers and coaches I was provided with.

This school has the absolute worst staff for after school events. They treat families extremely poorly & are not a community. Very sad and depressing atmosphere.

The principle Mrs. Freeble is a lousy principle which gives no care for student safety after two school safety threats and still holding school and plus found people to accuse without evidence on issues the school caused my stay here has been absolutely terrible though there are some good teachers.

My son just stated attending this school. His first day he was in the guidence councilors office so he was obviously late to class in order to get his schedule. School starts at 7:30am we were told to have him at the school at 8am. Why not bring him in at 7am? His first class was Physical Education....

One of the best public high schools in eastern NC. Currently 10 AP courses are taught on campus with more available on-line. Good students excel here and some have gone on to great colleges such as UNC, Duke, and the Military Academies. Numerous athletic and Academic scholarships have been awarded t...
