I loved attending HTA. The teachers really care about the quality of your education, and I was confident going into college after I graduated.

I like that HTA provides for a flexible schedule and the learning is very student-paced. Also, the teachers and are generally friendly, and the atmosphere is light and cheerful. However, it's difficult to connect with my teachers and peers because I don't go to school in person (due to being in the distance learning program). There are sometimes less academic opportunities (or the opportunities are less accessible) because it's a charter school.

I started off with being homeschooled from preschool to 6th grade but after I joined Hawaii Technology Academy for 7th grade, I enjoyed my time there so much I wanted to continue my academics through HTA. I am currently in my senior year and I'm so happy with the people and friends I've met. A partnership I did through school connected me to Olelo community media which made me find love for filmmaking and editing. HTA is a great school for flexibility and technology development.

I knew I had to find something different, her kindergarten experience was so sad with no art, music, and wasn't able to play on a real playground. When she got into HTA for 1st grade she f...

During my time at HTA, I had many good experiences and interesting ones. Coming from a school that offered AVID and other college/career programs, I was surprised to see that HTA was almost completely devoid of these kinds of courses. In addition to this, they didn't practice AVID or college/career...

Way too much online. I feel that students are not learning how a school should be! It doesn’t make sense why people go here!

If your student had learning differences this is not the school. There are some great teachers, however like another review pointed out, principal is unethical.
