Hawthorne High School is a great place to learn. Class sizes are manageable and the teachers really get to know their students. We are a small district and a small town, so no one gets lost in the mix.

The school is very average. There is not a lot of diversity. This school does not prepare you for college at all.

My past 2 years, junior and senior, were impacted greatly by the Covid pandemic. As much as the school did a fine job to n adjusting to remote learning, as a student it was difficult. Not being " in person" in the school and the classroom had negative effect on the learning experience. Not seeing my teachers and friends changed the entire social dynamic, and made learning difficult. Overall, the 4 year experience was a good one.. challenging, fruitful, and honestly, life changing, but I did enjoy it.

Most of the positive reviews are outdated and from before COVID-19 pandemic. As someone who graduated from here, this school tends to only help certain students, and most of the students and faculty honestly reek of those who peaked or are going to peak in high school. The academics are not a strong...
