When my son came to Heartwood he was failing all subjects in public school. The small class size, and caring teachers turned him around. 4 years later he graduated. As a former student and graduate, I would definitely recommend considering Heartwood as an option for your high school aged child. While a student, a was what some would call a "problem child". Check into this school and teachers before you decide to enroll. Teachers are all volunteer and show up when they feel like it. Teacher attitudes and student discipline measures are horrible.
