The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved my high School experience with Thayer Central. The best part of TC is how involved you can get in sports and extras. I also love how the teachers personally know you and want you to succeed in not only high school but life too. I think something I would like to change is the involvment with the parents in the sports side is very frustrating and makes the sports not as fun as they were. The worst part of the school is how small we are, we tend to start rumors and this speads not only throughout the school but also the community.

Overall it is a good school, but there have been some issues with the staff members l. My brother was bullied and no one did anything about it. Also some of the Jr. High football boys were messing with girls' gym bags and the staff don't do anything about it either.

I love this school because of its size. Everyone know each other and that's one of the main reasons why I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Most kids here are pretty nice and we all get along pretty well.
