My experience at Hickory High School wasn't the best time but I did make a lot of good memories at that school. I met a lot of good people that I'm friends with and I have good relationships with most of my teachers.

I feel like I have received some of my greatest opportunities while attending Hickory. Whether that may include "being a Senator" for the day at Thiel College with my AP US Government Class, or just the amount of support and encouragement I receive from faculty. Everyone is always looking to help prepare you for your next steps, and I'm so grateful for the knowledge I've received since being a student here.

My years at Hickory High School have prepared me for college. Lots of math and science offerings, which are what I am interested in. There are a variety of AP and Advanced classes available, as well as dual enrollment opportunities. We have a lot of clubs - there is pretty much a club for anything you would be interested in. I belong to Math, Physics, History and Spanish clubs. School spirit is good and most people get along well with others and are supportive.

I would absolutely not recommend this school to anyone moving from outside the Mercer County area, due to personal experience. If your children don't already know children who go to Hickory, and have positive, working relationships with them, this is not the place for you. This school is extremely i...
