Great school academically and safety wise. Most teachers I have had are great and there are barely any fights or dangerous situations. Sports are good as well. Great atmosphere at football games and good school spirit. Though If you're looking for diversity, this is not the school for you. It is located in a fringe-rural area so not very culturally diverse.

My time at Hickory High School has been a pleasure! All the teachers here are the best! The Administrators are very involved with the school which truly makes this a wonderful place to come every day and makes this a great learning environment.

Find more engaging projects to help the kids learn. I feel alot is basic and not challenging. They dont come home with homework and are not retaining what they learn. Child took a forgien language and got an A and cant speak a word!

The administration cares very little about students as a whole but there are a specific few groups that they like. The specific groups of students often get away with vaping in the school and being blatantly racist to peers. The administration also cares very little about the quality of their school...

This school is the closest thing to a dictatorship you will be able to find in the United States. From what my son describes the school is essentially a prison with no culturural diversity, the student body is extremely racist and hateful to minority races, and it has become so normalized in this sc...
