Hickory Christian Academy has been an amazing experience for me. I have been attending HCA since I was four years old. It has taught me how to learn various subjects through a classical lens and has taught me how to better my rhetorical skills for my future career path. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent there and I will truly miss the relationships I made along the way. I am grateful for my teachers who spent so much of their time in and out of the classroom to help better me and my education. HCA has truly been a great experience for me but I am now ready for this new chapter of my life going into college and am looking forward to making new relationships and new memories.

There are very few clubs. Recently a parent told me that her son was not accepted to well known college and the feedback was that he wasn't involved in "school clubs". He played soccer and baseball. There are not many clubs to be involved in.

there is always a school nurse there and the school cares about our well-being. We do a fire drill monthly and are aware of other procedures if necessary.

There are some nice people here, but overall, I cannot recommend HCA because it doesn't live up to its description. It's not truly classical. Copious amounts of busywork are misinterpreted for the "grammar stage" of the classical education model--with no emphasis on history, reading of the classics,...

I have 3 children that attend this school. When we moved to the area the students and staff were very welcoming and loving toward my children. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a Christ centered education. This school has been a wonderful blessing to us.
