GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

my overall experience at Hicksville high school is pretty good most teachers often go above and beyond they do more then they need to they reach out to students to see if they need help and are flexible there music program is pretty good and the safety there too they have security all around monitoring at all times

I have a good education here and the extracurricular opportunities are great. They help students find jobs and volunteer work. They also make sure parents are involved. The Fine Arts Program is great, especially our reigning champion marching band. Our sports teams on the other hand are lacking, I'm not sure if it's a student or coaching problem. Overall the school is a good environment, the sports aspect just could be better.

It was overall a great experience and I am grateful I attended here and was able to graduate from here. I just hoped that the guidance counselors were more hopeful with the college application process and provided further support and resources to be able to get through the process with ease. But overall the time was great.

Academics are good. Athletics is the probably the worst I've ever seen. There are no new innovative programs compared to surrounding schools.

My son was bullied and threatened by another student, which resulted in a fight, which was started by the student who bullied my son. after finding the school didn't take any action. The principal started character assassinationat of my son, even we had all the proof of bullying and threats

This school isn’t awful but some of these reviews are just plain lying there’s fights everyday we have no ac and mice in the lunch room but they have enough money to make a pool it makes no sense. I’m glad I moved to Jericho such a better school.
