The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Most of the teachers seem to love teaching and are very involved with their students. The counselors could definitely be better, but the overall sense of community is fairly good for most, even the "weirder" kids. Some issues with vaping and destructive Tik Tok challenges and prior gun threat issues may not have been handled well, but both problems have gotten better as of recently.

Cedar ridge has always had all sorts of drugs and fights every year. Some teachers genuinely hate their jobs and the kids. The administration switching every year since I got here is a problem cause it has never been really secure with the admin's goals. The school spirit is non-existent among the students and teachers. The attempts to make fun experiences for the students by offering 1 pep rally per year are very boring and not well thought through at all. Then there are some teachers that have a passion for what they are doing and come to school ready to teach their classes. The lunch food is terrible. The athletics are very disorganized and uncommunicative. The facilities are working it seems to be clean. The new J wing is pretty nice. I feel pretty safe but there are times when things happen and it becomes an issue of not even wanting to step into the rebuilding because of safety issues.

Although I have only been at the school for a year, I believe that it is a diverse environment that helps expose its students to multiple viewpoints.

The school has had three principals in the four years my kids have been there. The current principal is not available to speak with parents. If you have any concerns, she’ll ignore your emails or assign you to speak with another administrator who is also new. You will be given a chance to speak to t...

I'm a teacher in this school and I feel like it is a supportive teaching environment and administration turnover is a bit concerning, but all of our individual administrators does their best. The other teachers work hard. Students here are not any better or worse than other schools where I have taug...

I am a student at Cedar Ridge and over the past couple of years the school has gone downhill. Overall they have nice facilities but don't let that fool you. Since they have lost the majority of their best faculty and staff, students are left with very few outstanding teachers. As a student I only re...
