The teachers were nice for the most part, but there were a few bad eggs. Coach Crutcher, for example, is transphobic/misogynistic and treats fat students poorly. I loved the art teachers. I wish that lunch and time between class periods were longer; I had to run to have time to eat and get to class. The students were mean to me personally.

Hixson High school has allowed me to open up and blend in with everyone. It has allowed me to start my dreams by being able to get my CNA licensure. Not only that, but the teachers are there to help you out with whatever you need too. I have been able to also make genuine and strong connections with all my teachers feeling safe to go to them if I ever needed anything. Overall, Hixson high has helped shape me into the women I am today and achieve some of my goals in life.

I think overall it's a good school and a good community and learning environment, however I would really like to see an improvement in communication between students and faculty, as well as teachers giving out more constructive criticism rather than insults at times.

The Hixson High school teachers and staff allow bullying and cyber bullying, as well as try to cover up any incidents that may occur with students. If your child is a bully and likes to threaten kids, send them to Hixson High School, The administration will not do anything about it.
