Not too bad, the lunches are usually not very good, and people vandalize the bathrooms a lot, but like that's not too uncommon. A lot of our funding goes to the Elementary school instead of helping Middle/High School like they got a new playground while out urinal separators got ripped off the wall and now we don't have any.

Black River is an academically challenging school. Very small student population but good student to teacher ratio.

I have attended Black River for 13 years, I have had a great experience. As a college prep, it pushes you to be your best. The teachers are very helpful and are eager to answer any questions you may have for them. The facilities are old, but they have made the best effort to create a safe and comfortable space. Because of these reasons, I strongly recommend Black River Pubic School to any students or families interested in attending.

Black River has some excellent teachers, but if your child isn't at the honors level, your child will feel the minority. They do offer after school support, and some resources, but disappointed that the school lacks diversity in student learning styles and levels. Also, disappointed in the principal...

I love that they focus on the child, not the group. They see each student as an individual and teach accordingly. They seem to truly care about the students as well.

I have children in both elementary and high school levels for this school, and although I would give the high school a high rating, I have not been overly impressed with the amount of general coldness toward parents at the elementary levels, nor the lack of supervision that I have witnessed several...

I have been incredibly pleased with Black River. My now 3rd grader has been at Black River since Kindergarten. There is so much communication between parents and teachers, and she is above grade level in every subject.
