The teachers go above and beyond to help the students. It is very academically rigorous. For a small school, they accomplish so much, and most of the teachers take on additional volunteer duties. It is definitely one of the best schools in the state if not the country. You get what you put into it.

Black River Public School has been the best decision my parents made for me. I got the help I needed, I needed help with my speech and writing because my old school did not help me. Teachers are nice and willing to help you and there if you need them to be. other than food this place is a good school to go to.

There are a lot of good teachers and staff members there that do a great job at helping students, but the administration can be excessively overbearing. I would like the kids that go there to have a bit more freedom in their days spent in school.

Black River has some excellent teachers, but if your child isn't at the honors level, your child will feel the minority. I love that they focus on the child, not the group. They see each student as an individual and teach accordingly. They seem to truly care about the students as well.

I have children in both elementary and high school levels for this school, and although I would give the high school a high rating, I have not been overly impressed with the amount of general coldness toward parents at the elementary levels, nor the lack of supervision that I have witnessed several...

I have been incredibly pleased with Black River. My now 3rd grader has been at Black River since Kindergarten. There is so much communication between parents and teachers, and she is above grade level in every subject.
