GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Holmen High School provided me with an excellent foundation for college. I feel well-prepared for the core classes such as math, English, science and history. I feel that I received a well-rounded education with a mix of academics and college-readiness. I was able to take many advanced placement classes and honors classes that will prepare me for college academics.

The school is very high in regards to cleanliness and safety. Teachers are invested in their learning and making sure students are engaged.

Holmen High is a great high school in a small town. The teachers are energetic about their subjects and have a great program. Along with great education, Holmen has so many extracurricular opportunities for their students. They offer many different clubs and sports. Holmen High just got a new renovation as well consisting of a larger FAC, new gyms, a new wellness center, and much more. The building is in great shape and is a grade environment for students.

It's a great place to learn, if you love learning nothing! Forget about teaching; it's all memorization and grades. It's almost like they don't want us to succeed.

As a very anxious person I was terrified to attend here, but quickly learned that this is so much better than any school I've ever been to. I went from not being ab...

This is a horrible school. They do not care for their students. The are just pushing them all through the system. If they get a bad grade in a class they don't make them retake the class.

Both of my kids went through the high school. Wonderful teachers who really care, and the women in the office are great. School board is very progressive and supportive of public education.
