Amazing Teachers and dedicated Staff.... Dean students and families are committed and have become part of the turn around! This year 100% of their seniors graduated and there has been a waitlist at Dean for the past 4 years, the Vocational Program is on the rise as is the Academic Rigor.... I know that can be a buzz word, but it is a true story. The greatest part of the entire thing is that they are doing it while keeping their eye on equity and deep into antiracist work. The Suspension rate is almost non existent, they do not have In House Suspension, the data from parents this past year was high 90's for parents feeling safe about their child attending Dean.... "Did this really happen in the past 5 years.... yes it did!" *Key stakeholders that have been in the building and stuck around joined up with a group of administrators and along with adding some really solid key positions over the past 5 years... Dean will explode in the 2-3 years.... *Great School to work at!

Some of the teachers don't really teach well and help there students

there is a bad attendance record for our school but little is done about it i myself a student was worried about my absences and when i checked with the teacher who is in charge of attendance he was surprised that i had so many absences and didn't even know i had so many.

The shops at Dean are terrific and they are establishing some really exciting business - school partnerships now that will mean more highly technical hands on skills. And the new principal is creating a whole new and very positive culture at the school as well.
