My experience with Honaker High School has been good, but it does have room for improvement. There is next to no diversity, and it isn't a very accepting school for LGBTQ students. Its academics are good but don't prepare you well for college. However, because it is a small school, we are all family here, and you will feel supported.

I moved here in my senior year of high school and I learned more in the one year i was here than any other year. Everyone welcomed me and treated me as if they had known me forever.

I made some amazing friends and have met a few great teachers but honestly some teachers act like they have it out for us. Some teachers don't care for their job. I am a really good student and make great grades but throughout my years, I've had some teachers purposely give me bad grades. This school has continued to fuel my anxiety. They don't seem to care very much about health issues in the kids. Most of the teachers honestly just think about going home and hardly do their work. This school has its positives but it'd be nice for people to care a bit more.
