GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think that overall, Hoopeston High School is a great place to receive an education and it gives students a wonderful environment to thrive, grown, and learn. Although it is a great school, I did give 4 stars because there were some troubles finding capable teachers in the past, but all in all that only pushed me to work harder in order to come out on top. I feel that Hoopeston High School has amazing academic programs and teachers, and has exceeded in preparing me for college as much as possible.

Sometimes we have exchange students come and visit and they get picked on, but there are people who take them in and become great friends with them.

the guidance counselor seam to only talk to the 'smart' kids and college prep was nonexistence for most of the student body. most of the teachers are willing to stay after to tutor you, there is a tutoring program called a.s.a.p where you can go durning school and after school to get help in math and english.
