My 6th grade son has absolutely loved his first year as a middle schooler. And as one of the other reviews stated, the fine arts at this middle school are second to none, specifically the theater and choir programs. The musicals are beyond what you might see at the high school level and the show choir is the best in the southeast. They also have math team, science club, and scholar's bowl that are wonderful additions to the academic programs. All around, it doesn't get better than this school.

6th grade has been terrible. Terrible communication with teachers and faculty. They do not respect 5”1 plans. The lunch fees are high and you will never know how much each item costs. Bullying is rampant and the teachers are unsupportive. 5 principals in 4 years … that says it all.

My son just completed his time at Simmons and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers are excellent, the sports were consistently competitive, and the Fine Arts are the best in the state. All around, this school is amazing!

We love Simmons! Great faculty and administration and many opportunities for the kids to get involved. Strong focus on kindness and behavior. Great curriculum and opportunities for students to learn and grow!
