I could not have hand picked a better public highschool to attend. It is an incredibly diverse, personality-rich institution where everyone can thrive. It offers 25 AP courses along with a diverse dual enrollment program with 10 universities to provide students the opportunity to enrich their resume and engage in the college experience when they want to

I do wish I had a little more help with getting ready for college. However, you have to be willing to put yourself out there more by speaking to your college counselor. What I loved the most, though, was how kind and understanding the college counselor was. Also, not all teachers allow you to retake tests if you failed, even though you know you tried your best, but a couple of my teachers did.

It has given me many opportunities and a great environment to grow as a person. The teachers are all very supportive, and love to watch us grow. All administrators are there to help, and want to see us all grow as a person. Overall, it is the best school I've been to, and I have been to many.

SPHS would like the community to believe that they are aligned with the levels of Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and Homewood. Do NOT be fooled. Kids are bullied incessantly here- by students and teachers. Admin is completely ineffective with the unbelievable amount of behavior issues. They hide so much...

Had two kids come through this HS and both excelled academically and got great prep for college.
