GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school have a very strong curriculum. I would have liked to say teachers stay longer it felt like every year we were getting at least 3 new teachers. It is harder for students to form a bond with teachers when they are contently leaving. The school has very strict polices and is always making sure every student feels safe in there surroundings.

Going to a small school is beneficial as the class sizes are smaller and you are able to have more teacher to student contact. There are some down sides such as the lack of advanced class opportunities and a decreased amount of extra-curricular activities and athletics that are offered.

As a former student of this highschool, this school is completely inexperienced with properly handling students with special needs. While yes there are plenty of great teachers that help students. When it comes to your special education teachers they do fall behind there with neglectful special educ...

Sexist mascots, low motivational teachers leading to dropouts and class retakes. The current 4/10 rating appears to be adequate. I'm planning to move out of the area prior to my younger children entering middle school.

I have had my kids in the public schools in Horicon since 2002, and I have several years to go. No school is perfect, but some of the comments I can see on this site from years ago are unfair to the Horicon public schools. The #1 attribute I have found in Horicon schools is that the teachers, princi...
