GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Great variety of classes and for the most part, good teachers. A little bit of perfectionism is enforced hard on students. There is a lack of trying to help with student social situations such as bullying. There is also a great variety of programs and sports for any student to be able to join.

No bullying, police come by often.

What makes this school unique is the administration and the staff care about you as more than just a student, they care about you as a person. The sports/athletics are important, but not nearly as important as the academics. If a student is failing more than one class, they can't participate in athletics until they bring their grade up to at least a C.

Hotchkiss High is an outstanding school as far as teachers and staff are concerned. They offer extensive college credits as a high school student which is extremely helpful after graduating.

Great school with a dedicated administration and staff. Definately student centered. One of the few schools in the state where a student can earn and graduate with an Associate Degree earned while in school. Average senior will earn over 40 semester hours of college credit before graduation.

There is an incredible amount of biased people at this school; you must follow a certain stereotype in order to fit in here and the teachers and faculty follow this stereotype and are so judgmental if a student does not follow this generalization of characteristics. No one is open minded and student...
