As I've been at Carngie I believe it has made me a better person, and it has exposed me to different cultures and people that I usually wouldn't be likely to meet or involve in outside of school. The school itself is really nice and it allows all of us to come together and learn more about each other, while also planning us for college academically.

As a senior, I feel very prepared for college and the workload that will go with it. Carnegie has helped me meet my best friends and the staff has helped me feel excited and ready for my future.

Carnegie's great if you're into taking AP classes. I've taken 17-ish (I don't even remember at this point), and most of the classes are harder than the actual exam, so all the students at least pass if not excel in the AP exam. I have more AP credits than are accepted at the colleges I'm applying to. The AP's here are also free. The teachers here are effective and generally caring/passionate. There are only 2 that I'd say are pretty bad at teaching. There's also a handful of phenomenal, over-qualified teachers. The work load is definitely tougher than most high schools. We're averaging around 2 hours of work per night, ± 1 hour. This makes it more difficult to have extracurriculars, but far from impossible. I've got friends doing theatre, cross country, robotics, music, soccer, baseball, who work...definitely doable. Students are generally harmless if try-hards. Not too much drama. Cons: It's hard to be at the top of your class. The sports here are fine but not a focus.
