KIPP Sharp College Prep is one of 20-plus KIPP elementary schools in Texas that promote high academic standards and encourage college attendance. The prekindergarten through fourth grade school is located at 8430 Westglen Drive. Houston students who want to continue in the KIPP program after fourth grade can attend KIPP Sharpstown College Prep for middle school and KIPP CONNECT Houston High School. KIPP, which stands for Knowledge is Power Program, is a public, tuition-free, open-enrollment charter network. Among the largest charter school networks in the U.S., KIPP schools typically have longer instructional days so all students can participate in extracurricular activities Started in 2008, KIPP Sharp College Prep usually enrolls about 900 students. Courses include science, math and art. Students can join extracurricular activities like singing, orchestra and art. The KIPP Sharp College Prep lower school was a National Blue Ribbon School in 2014.

KIPP Gulton Lower...Best school in the area.all comments I heard from parents is all same:GREAT SCHOOL.My son is @ 3rd Grade...Very Happy...with all teacher/staff!!! Everything.Thank You.KIPP !!!

First of all TUITION IS NOT FREE. I love the values they teach. Good teaching, teachers are awesome. We have a new principal Ms. Bennett, she is so wonderful available at any time of the day. But there is only two thing i DO NOT LIKE, they go from 7:40am to 5:00pm. The kids get all stress out becaus...
