GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Leland was great in my opinion even with the pandemic happening during my transition from middle school to high school. The tearchers and faculty are very welcoming and supportive and they are very big on helping students learn and grow into themselves. They have a different variety of clubs and organizations for kids to join so that they better learn their interests and skills so that they can find their passions and develop their own skills in those areas. Overall a great school and community and I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants their kid to learn effectively in school but also about themselves.

Best experience was homecoming because the basketball team won against Westbury high school by 20. One of the worst parts were we had a gas leak because of a mortuary down the street and everyone had leave early.

This school is great academically, in robotics and has a good athletic program. Starting from the sixth grade and meeting everyone and going to slowly grow up with them creates a good sense of brotherhood and family.
