Located in the heart of Westbury, Parker Elementary School is one of the newest and largest elementary campuses in the neighborhood. With experienced teachers and an acclaimed music magnet program, this Houston Independent School District campus is a top-rated school for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students.
Once housed in a building dating back to 1959, Parker Elementary now boasts a modern building and stage fit for its more than 800 students thanks to a Houston Independent School District (HISD) building program.
Parker’s new 500-seat auditorium is perfect for showcasing the students’ fine arts talents including band, chorus, guitar, piano and strings; in fact, the campus has been recognized across the state and country for its musical talent, performing at professional sporting events, competitions, conferences and more.
While music is certainly a focus on campus, Parker is known for being academically strong as well. For many years, Parker Elementary earned top marks from the state education agency. On average, Parker teachers have more experience than their HISD and even state counterparts. I have three kids. One has gone all the way through Parker, one is in 4th grade. We have had a great experience at Parker. We love the music magnet, both kids play violin. We feel safe here, the parents are super involved, which makes the school feel like a warm and welcoming community.

This is my daughter's second year at Parker, she started her 1st grade this year and she loves her school and teachers. I recommend this school to kids that love music, my daughter plays the violin and will start voice lesson's this years.
