Versa Reece Academy at 2223 Esther Dr. is a magnet school in the Aldine Independent School District. The school serves about 400 pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students and offers programs including Montessori, dance and music.
Reece Academy has earned the Magnet School of Excellence award for two years in a row, which spotlights schools demonstrating outstanding commitment to academic standards, curriculum innovation, diversity and parent and community involvement.
The Reece fine arts program includes choral music, tap and ballet, Suzuki violin, visual arts and creative drama. By weaving the arts into academic content, students learn in relevant, relatable ways.
All Reece students receive structured direct instruction in math and phonics-based reading and language. Students practice what they learn in centers that may include manipulatives, books or technology.
For Montessori instruction, students learn through a hands-on, sensory approach. Children work at their own pace, often choosing their classwork with guidance from their teachers. Students can receive teaching in Spanish or English. Reflecting the student-centered community, there is no focal center in a Montessori classroom.
Reece Academy is the first stop for fine-arts-focused Acres Homes students, but the school is an excellent choice for all Acres Homes pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.

Reece Acamedey has exceeded my expectation. This is my childs first year at Reece Acamedy and I am very impressed with the school, on all level (from the caring teachers to the quality education and great foundation in which the school delivers).
