I wish there was more of a push for higher academic limits/achievements. As well as more focus on education apart from outside activities.

My experience at Howell High School was very good as it prepared to attend the University of Michigan. I made connections with great people and great faculty. However good the people are, the academics at Howell are very lackluster compared to surrounding schools like Hartland and Brighton. These schools have a much better academic record and produce more college ready students, whereas, Howell does not.

The best part of the experience at Howell High School is the opportunities and AP courses that are offered. The worst part is probably the racist environment created by a small, but vocal part of the student body. Some change that I would love to see, is an increase in funding for sports and other activities, as Howell has a large influence in many extracurriclar activites, but when compared to other local schools Howell is behind.

I had a great experience at Howell High School. I had some really awesome teachers who not only cared about me as a student but as a person. This school is very big and I love how many different class options were available. I would definitely recommend this school to others!
