GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Atascocita Highschool is widely raved about however the actual help you receive as a student heavily lacks.

Atascocita High School offers many useful technical training classes, dual credit classes, and other resources that can further help students transition to college and careers, but many students don't know this. I would like to see these opportunities and options discussed more and encouraged, I am graduating now and I feel that I missed out on a lot and I do not want the same for other students.

I started out feeling scared to attend high school because of my learning disabilities. I thought I would be made fun of and no one would want to talk to me or be my friend. I was afraid that everyone would notice my learning disabilities and the way I was thinking had me overwhelmed with the thought of attending high school. Once I made it to school I slowly started to realize the way I was thinking was totally the opposite. I was introduced to a team of staff that made me feel good about attending school and that they really wanted to succeed. The approach they took allowed me to feel better about myself and I started to really enjoy learning in different ways. I was able to gain a lot of new friendships as well. Being here made me feel more confident in my ability to go after what I wanted to accomplish in life beyond the walls of Atascocita.
