Located right off Browns Road is Southdown Primary School, serving young students in kindergarten to third grade. Founded in 1954, this public elementary school currently enrolls approximately 400 students and teaches young minds to flourish in an academic environment of respect, encouragement, and high expectations.

Would never repeat my daughters education experience at the school. Hugely disappointing in the last few years especially her third grade year. Teachers and aids in her third grade year were atrocious and administration refuses to be accountable.

Southdown is an amazing school! My children have scored very well there where as at Northport I was told they had not capacity to learn! My son got perfect scores on his standardized tests! But in addition, they love their kids, teach them respect, to love reading and how to have fun! I have an olde...
