As a queer christian that went to this school from 8th grade (2019) to graduation (2024), the environment isn't very good, and the same can be said for any disabled students (in terms of slurs used and bullying[for queer students]). It does have lots of community and is serious about its beliefs, as most classes involve prayer before beginning, and most fridays we had chapel.

Oakwood Adventist Academy is a great school to attend for a Christian-based experience. They do their best to keep things organized and simple for students to progress through. The high school is definitely helpful in preparing students for college by having ACT prep, clubs & organizations, and even CNA/Pharmacy Technician programs.

My experience at Oakwood Adventist Academy was definitely unique. It's a small school with a small amount of students. Perfect for finding close friends that will last for a lifetime. Their are also only a handful of teachers who will work one-on-one with you to help you succeed. It's like having a peaceful, fun, and Christian family.
