Ridgecrest Elementary School prides itself on treating students with a personal touch. With 15 students per teacher, there is ample opportunity for individual attention in the classroom. Culturally, Ridgecrest is very diverse, including a more than 45 percent Hispanic student population. Academically, students are encouraged to pursue extracurriculars, such as the GreenPower Team. GreenPower is a STEM program in which students build an electric race car. They participate in races throughout the year against other students, helping foster a community of STEM-interested children across America. A good school. However, this year my son is the only English speaking boy in his class. He has a hard time making friends because of it. He has always been shy towards other kids. MY SON STARTED GOING TO RIDGECREST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN 2012 HE WAS GOING TO OWENS CROSS ROADS. WHILE AT OCR HE HAD A DIFFICULT TIME WITH THE STUDENTS BULLYING HIM AND THE TEACHERS NOT GIVING HIM ENOUGH ONE ON ONE. HIS GRADES WERE TERRIBLE.
