I had a wonderful experience at this school. Made some of my lifetime friends. Some of the teachers didn't do their job, but for the most part students get a lot out of going here.

I liked how they ended up trying to change things for the students I don't like how they've treated the staff, a lot of our best teachers are getting fired or hate the way they're treated and are quitting.

I graduated from Illinois Valley Central in 2019. My experience at this school was good but not great. The school cannot seem to keep teachers, for example I had five different Spanish teachers in the span of four years. Education wise, I do believe that I received a good education but teachers/administration don't seem to strive for kids to go beyond their potential. The school for the most part is very safe and comfortable, as safe as any school can be in the current days of school systems in America.

All my children have attended or are attending IVC High School. Academics is not king -- we have more kids in music! Academics are second to none. Teachers go the extra mile. Administration listens to my comments and concerns.

Very poor academic advisement offered to students. The focus is mainly on sports and not on making the school experience positive for all students.
