Overall a great school. Have been going here my 4 years of high school, and personally I enjoyed my time here. The teachers are great as well as the students.

My experience at Independence High Magnet was one of a kind. There were many things that I enjoyed, but things that I also wish I could change. This was a very diverse school that allowed me to grow into the person I am. The change would be: a better way for kids to express themselves besides sports.

I didn't like it at first especially when i was a freshmen but as the days and school years went by everything was just fine. I liked most of my teachers even though they come and go. The students there were OK they wasn't the best but kind of friendly at times, our Friday game night was the BEST I wish i could go back. The band was awesome and the bus trips was so much fun. I can't speak on today because everything has changed in those 4 years.

I found this particularly true for Mathematics, Science, and Spanish. The Counselor was inefficient and...

The strength of this school is in its administration. They try their hardest to do good things with what they have. Some teachers are good. Others cater too much to the whims of the students or are just a little too comfortable. The main problem is the culture of the environment. Though most of the...
