Westlake Elementary School serves kindergarten through sixth grade students on Indianapolis’ west side just a few blocks west of Interstate 465 and north of Rockville Road. Enrolling over 600 students, Westlake Elementary School strives to provide students with "optimum success in academics and lifelong skills."
Opened in 1955, Westlake Elementary School is a part of the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township. Emphasizing teamwork, Westlake Elementary enhances students' educational experiences with technology, computer labs and an outdoor classroom.
Westlake Elementary School challenges and shapes young minds with a curriculum of math, science, social studies and an emphasis on literacy and comprehension. The school also encourages a love of literature through a program that allows students to read in the school courtyard when the weather is warm.
Westlake Wildcats can sign up for an engaging lineup of extracurriculars, including Spell Bowl, art club, Battle of the Books, chess club, folk dance, garden club, dance club, running club, student council, 4-H and robotics.
Celebrating both independence and collaboration in the classroom, the children of Westlake Elementary School grow to become self-assured and community-minded students.

excellent school my daughter can be happier compares with previews school, we now just has a meeting about ISTEP, vey helpful meeting and really involve everybody at home.

My daughter first year in this great school first 2 months every week she its been comming bach with A+ ty Mrs Boys for being a great teacher. This school program is great my daughter is so happy.
