At Interlachen you can feel free to communicate with admin/teachers inside or outside of school whether it has to do with academics, athletics, or programs/clubs.

The school is overrun with school spirit. The teachers and students form great relationships and students feel comfortable coming to the teachers for help with things.

Do not expect a guiding hand here. Nothing is handed to you or provided, it is merely swept under the rug to the satisfaction of the administrators. The Biology honors course that I am currently taking was left with out a instructor for 5 weeks. Bare in mind this honors class has a end of course exam. After being taunted with a new teacher, all we received was a limp hand shake and our gym coach. While my time at I.H.S. has be prominently awful I would like to shed light of the true diamonds in the rough, such as Prof. Wykoff who is a great teacher. Despite the narrow minded and jaded administration, the staff and lunch staff are wonderful and very kind and helpful. The over all student body of I.H.S. is mostly made up of washouts, "ye'ye's" , and people trying desperately to escape the whirl pool the is Interlachen high school. Yet the is not a failure of Interlachen High School, but the school system its self. One can not fix the system that defines him

Students are not individuals, but are only a 'team' member under the 'power team teaching' method. Third lunch offers next to nothing for those unfortunate enough to be assigned to this lunch time...I pay $2.50 for my son's lunch and expect him to get that quality meal that has been touted by Food S...

This school went from pretty good to unbelievably...horrible. The teachers have always been awful, and I know I haven't been prepared for the real world but at least it was fun. Now, I dread waking up in the mornings. :( Sincerely, Can't-Wait-to-be-Outta-Here
