I think that Ironton is one of the best choices for a school in the county. It has a rich history with academics and sports.

Ironton is a very close-knit community. If you are not a known person at Ironton, you tend to be left out.

Ironton is great school to prepare students for the next step at college. The facilities are great and well taken care of. You can tell everyone really appreciates the school and wants to take care of it. There isn't much diversity, but that can be expected from a small town school in Appalachia. I have loved my experience at Ironton and I'm grateful to be a future alum.

When I went to this school,, everything was all about who your parents were. It was very biased. Each student was treated differently and it was more about its football program than its curriculum. If you played sports you got ushered along.

This school was very poorly ran when I went my 4 years there. They have coaches for teachers which is fine when they are teaching health, gym, etc..but I had a coaches son as a math teacher and he just went over football plays most the class.
