GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Estill County High School has a beautiful campus. If you were to walk through the hallways you would see the facility constantly working to keep the school clean. The staff handles pressured situations like pros, they never seem to fail making school a safe place for all students. The food is decent. They always have three options at lunch to make sure no student goes without. Overall Estill County High School is an excellent place to attend school as a high school student.

Overall I have been impressed with my education at Estill County High School. I have had positive experiences, amazing teachers and room to grow during my formative years of high school. I only wish that there was a class for us as underclassmen showing us how to complete scholarship applications, essays for scholarships and applications to colleges etc.

Even though I had only got to spend my last two years of high school here, and I had to spend my last year entirely online, I have had no problems going here. Even in the short time I was here, I felt that it was a good school to go to. The teachers and staff seem very welcoming. The students are also welcoming and inclusive. After I graduate from here, I think I will be ready to go to college, based on the grades I got from here and my determination for my future.
