Communication was lacking from administration. Dual-enrolled students were not given much support for applying to transfer to 4 year universities. Getting an associate's degree for free while enrolled in high school was a great opportunity.

Honestly, all schools have their ups and downs, but JPEC struggles. We just got a new principal and I am excited to see changes be made. We have had a lot of teachers who have done some odd things like tie a kid to a chair with his backpack strap, we have had teachers who've thrown things at students and gone through their stuff without permission, and many other bad teachers. But we have also had amazing teachers who truly have a love for teaching and care about the students and their futures. So it really depends on the year you go and the teachers who are there at that time, but its a 50/50 school.

this school is horrible. they changed my graduation requirements in february and i was supposed to walk in may. they didn't tell me my requirements had changed until it was far too late for me to catch up. they ignore the safety needs of lgbtq+ students (there were slurs written on bathroom stalls for 2 years and students get called slurs in hallways. students are threatened with biolence regularly. admin does nothing). only one janitor for both buldings. the bathrooms and classrooms are disgusting at all times. teachers are often bad at their jobs, bad people, or dont put effort into engaging with the students. please dont send your children to jpec, you'll regret it.

After three years at this school, I can safely say putting her in JPEC was the best decision I could have made for my child. They understand her and make her feel respected and well-liked. She feels safe in the community, has made some wonderful friends, and is exceeding expectations in her classes....

they changed my graduation requirements 3.5 months before graduation without telling anyone, including parents. then they refused to talk to my mother about the decision. they disregard lgbtq+ student safety and refuse to do anything to fix the problem. do not send your studenta here, you will regre...

Although, this school has great opportunities I do not recommend this school because kids treat kids differently if they are not "normal". I also feel that the academics at this school do push students to work harder but a lot of teachers don't know how to accommodate the kids that have learning dis...
