The school isn't too bad it's just the teachers. Some would forget to grade your work or claim the students never turned it in. Another thing that is annoying is the dress code. The clothes are very uncomfortable and they are very strict about it. The safety is decent and they are more strict about it due to the school shooting and bomb threats that happen in the last 3 years. So the school decided to put a gate around the school and put metal detectors so safety of the school has improved.

The administration is not great, the sports are ok but need a change but won't be made, I feel students should be able to have more group activities and more fun together. The college readiness should be better, there is not much help to guarantee that you get everything done that you need to. there should also be more college classes available or AP classes. I feel like there is not enough to get you through what you could be doing. there could also be more diversity when it comes to your study of interest there's only a couple and if you do not want to go into that field of study, then you just have to pick from something even if you don't want to do it there could be a little bit more diversity also in the sports part with things such as dance or men's volleyball certain things that should be able to be asked about or started that are not. The staff overall is not bad, but at times is a lot of favoritism towards certain people or certain subjects of the school.

The building is very old so there a areas that really need updated. However, safety has been a concern for my daughter.

Northside is one of the best schools in Jackson. It has much diversity. Educators and staff members consistently collaborate to meet the needs of students. Administration is caring and supportive of students, faculty, and staff.

Northside is a school that has improved alot. Current administration is caring and makes an effort to get to know students on a personal level. There are incentives in place and opportunities for all.

Child centered school with caring educators and administrators. There are a few rowdy kids but, overall, students are great.

I feel that the teacher are great but the students are aggressive racist and when they don't like something they throw stuff we had a great foren substitute and he told them not to eat in class so they threw. The food, suckers, and other things at him and called him racist for not letting them brake...
