Housing pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, the mid-sized elementary school has provided public education to some of the youngest residents on the westside of Jacksonville. Children can expect to participate in a STEAM and leadership-focused curriculum at Timucuan. Enrolled students will experience a premier program that encourages the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. During the Extended Day program, students can participate in athletics, team-building exercises and creative activities, like arts and music, before or after school for a recurring fee. Timucuan Elementary School has a modest performance according to the Florida Department of Education compared to other district institutions.
