Overall, QHSS is very focused on the college readiness of students, pushing and encouraging them to do higher level courses.

Though the school has access to the nearby York College campus, the actual school building is very small and is basically one floor. In terms of academics, the school offers and actually mandates many APs, as well as college courses. The school has a small student body and an 100% graduation rate.

The experience here has been quite different to what I expected when I first enrolled. The population is around 500 and the class size is around 120, so everyone knows each other. I don't get to meet new or different people, its all the same. So it really isn't the high school experience compared to other larger high schools. However, the education is good, the math teacher here is loved by everyone.

Student body is strong and the leadership is always weak in this school. Need a better faculty team, but the lack of effective leadership make this issue linger on.

This school is one of he best schools. It is small so mostly everyone knows each other, and you are forced to do well; there is hardly anyone who will not succeed, unless they are set on failing. Another thing: they offer many AP Tests, which really help in college. -Previous student

Great school, the principal is the best. She gets things done and makes you feel like you're important. This is hard to get at a big school. MOST of the teachers are dedicated and love to help with exceptions of a few.
