As of right now, I serve as a Jena High School senior and I absolutely love it here. There are only a few things I wish to see change in the next couple of years. One being the state law which bans phones in schools. Personally, I so not want to send my future child to school without a phone on them in case of emergencies. This is more of a state issue, not the school, but it serves the same purpose.

My experience at Jena High School has been average. I never feel unsafe on campus so that's always a good thing, but the way money is handled is insane to me. For example, a new parking lot was built while there are stalls in our bathrooms that don't even lock and Chromebooks that are falling apart. I feel like the school board's focus needs to be on more important things other than dress code and phones. Overall, my high school experiences has been fine.

It's a small school in the south so there's tons of nice and welcoming people. However, because of how small it is, there isn't the greatest education in Jena, making Jena High School a decent option to go to.
