I think that my school is great with its academics and the things that it provides for students to prepare them for life outside of high school. I also think that our music and arts departments are amazing. Our facilities for sports and the arts are amazing and provide students with a safe space to express themselves. One of the downsides to my school is that we don't have a very diverse student body. Although we are trying to improve that we have a lot of setbacks due to the community and their beliefs. Although it isn't noticeable to many of the white students being a person of color at Jension you always know that you are an outsider and know that although your peers are nice to you there is always underlying racism and bias in their actions.

I have been a student at Jenison Senior High School for a few years and overall I have had a good experience. I love all the class options there are and I think that the school itself is a pretty great school. However, if I could change one thing about the school I would definitely change the size of our school. The hallways are very cramped and I get pushed around going from class to class.

I think that the best thing about Jenison Senior High School are that the teachers are very helpful and make sure that you are ready for college. Many of the teachers are understanding and willing to do a lot to help you improve yourself and your grades. Something that Jenison Senior High School isn't very good at is being diverse. I know that Jenison is mostly a white community that has mostly christian but the students can be unkind to people of different races or religion. I would like that the students to know more about different cultures and religion so that they are more understanding.

Excellent school district that prepares students for college and beyond. My children have attended this district for elementary, middle and high school- no issues.

Jenison schools are amazing. Yes, the standards are high! But that is a good thing! Growing up in the inner city (and surviving in the schools there) I specifically sought out Jenison for my kids. The reason I selected this district is because when I moved here from Muskegon as a young adult- every...

BEWARE!!! This school is full racism, bulling and politics. Many families have left the district for these reasons. The weak leadership starting with the superintend who only cares about hiding problems and looking good while letting coach’s/teachers with bad behavior play mind games with kids. They...

As a prior student of Jenison high I would give them a 2 out of 5. There are some cool teachers there and some bad teachers, same goes for management. I did learn quite a bit, but there is very strong favoritism towards the wealthy. EX: I was used as an example of white moving outwards to suburbs (I...
