GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think one of the best things about JCHS are the teachers. Each teacher I have had has made a tremendous effort to see me succeed. Secondly, I think JCHS has a very amazing school spirit. From almost everything I have seen of other schools, they do not compare. JCHS also has a very unique Prom and Hoco experience, the students come up with a theme and go all-out. Overall JCHS is a good school with thoughtful teachers. However, I do wish they had more interactive classes like electricity work or something along those lines.

Most of the people that have grown up going to school here are racist homophobic transphobic and very sexist. So if you are a straight white male that thinks women aren't people, then you will love it at this school and you'll have the time of your life here with the boys and their flags. A true product of the American education system being drained of resources. which leave you having to learn about the world on your own or living here forever. So beware, very low funding, most schools around here were shut down.

It is most likely a great school for someone who has grown up in Jerseyville their whole lives. For such a small school, we have a good range of classes, I feel like the community is supportive of the programs offered at the high school; however, I feel that the kids who are in sports are the ones who get recognition.
